In response to the recent nationwide shortage of IV solutions, triggered by unexpected damages at key manufacturing sites due to Hurricane Helene, we wanted to assure you of our unwavering commitment to your needs during this challenging period.

The shortage was precipitated when key facilities, including Baxter International’s North Carolina plant, which produces approximately 60% of the country’s IV fluids, were severely affected by flooding. This disruption has placed considerable strain on the availability of essential IV fluids used in hospitals and other healthcare settings across the United States.

At McGuff, we understand the critical nature of this situation and its potential impact on your operations and patient care. Here's how we are addressing the issue:

  • Proactive Inventory Management: We have been closely monitoring our inventory levels and have activated our emergency response plan to prioritize and manage supply more effectively.
  • Securing Additional Supplies: Our procurement team is working tirelessly to source additional IV fluid supplies from unaffected areas and alternative suppliers to ensure we can continue to meet your needs.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak worldwide, the global demand for some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is exceeding current supply availability.

In addition, the manufacturing of the PPE and many other wound care/infection prevention products have been impacted by the global response to the Coronavirus. While you may see product availability reduction in the near-term, please be assured that we at McGuff Medical are continuing to work diligently to ensure an uninterrupted supply of products and alternative products to you.

Additionally, in order to ensure healthcare providers have access to the PPEs they need, the McGuff Company is temporarily limiting PPEs to healthcare providers.
